In the heart of war-torn Eastern Ukraine, four orphaned brothers struggle to find their place in a world turned upside down by conflict. As they face the harsh realities of their new lives, they encounter other war victims in their home town of Marinka. Each interaction deepens our understanding of their identity and the sacrifices that come with survival. Amidst the chaos, they learn that family extends beyond blood, as they forge bonds with those around them. Together, they navigate the complexities of loss and hope, revealing the heart of a conflict that has reshaped not just their lives, but the fate of a nation.

Four Brothers is the long-awaited second feature documentary by Pieter-Jan De Pue, director of the praised ’The Land of the Enlightened’.
